"I assisted Manny on a photo shoot. I should have known better to do the work without a contact, but was given the job by a good friend. It took 2 months to get a check for the work - and then the check bounced. He claimed the check bounced because it was considered "fraudulent"(...it wasn't that much money). He promised to resolve the situation by the following week - heard nothing from him. I called to check on the status of the funds and he couldn't give me an answer and kept on saying "I'll have it next week." I called him the next week hoping the situation would be resolved and he of course blew me off again. At this point I knew he had no intentions of paying me. I followed legal procedures and sent him the appropriate paperwork informing him I would be filing a case against him if he did not pay me. He responded saying "You owe me an apology. This is defamation of character." Character?! Ha! So here I am 6 months later and he still has not paid me. I have filed a claim with Small Claims Court so I will be seeing him in court, well, that is if he actually shows. "

"I still have not been paid by this company. It has been five months since I worked for this company. This company wrote me a check for only a portion of the balance owed to me and did not have sufficient funds for me to cash the check."

"This company continually pays late, over 12 months, and plays numerous games when trying to get paid. This company operates on the "pay of the staff", to generate more jobs, and tries at all ends to avoid paying staff at all. Deceptive, unreliable. you will spend more time to recoup past wages, then the time actually spent working."
